Tabrizi - Peppery Turkish Recipe Base+ Saffron

Inspired by the delicious flavours of Tabriz, a foodie capital in the northwest of Iran, this peppery tomato base traditionally is enjoyed with oversized stuffed meatballs called Kufteh.

In this pack you will receive:

1 x Jar Exotic Bazaar Tabrizi Peppery Tomato Recipe Base

1 x 0.125g Ground Saffron Made from slow ground organic Persian Saffron

Made fresh in our Brisbane facility, this cooking sauce has no fillers or cooking oil, and is Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian Friendly.

Add it to your everyday cooking or go classic and show off your world cuisine knowledge.

Tabrizi in four steps:

1- Cut 2 x carrots and 1x Parsnip (use carrots if not in season) into match sticks.

Then fry with some butter and your pack of ground saffron. When softened, set aside.

2- Fry 500g of diced beef/chicken, or alternative plant based option.

3- Add this sauce plus half a jar of stock/water.

4- Simmer for 15 minutes then add your carrots and parsnip to the stew and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Serve on steamed rice with a side of your choice of flat bread and salad.

Another traditional way of enjoying Tabrizi is with Kufteh meat-balls. See recipe on our blog.

Alternatively simmer Exotic Bazaar Tabrizi recipe base with poultry, red meat, or vegetarian options such as eggplant, mushroom, capsicum, paneer, legumes. Or mix through with rice to make a Persian pilaf.
